dont waste ur time in ME for two years. better do UG get setled with job . if u want ME degree, do it in IIT's,
in anna university u know four main campus in chennai . iam from CEG campus . iam ME gate qualified student. was happy little because i got 8000 stipend monthly . other than that , though the teachers friendly .. no use . because campus dont care for placement for PG ME candidates. only UG get 100 percent placement. if u got plced then it will b from IT company or u can get in to teaching field because u did ME in well reputed college. forget about core company dreams.there are little chances for IT field also. all my classmates are in teaching field in various engineering college. well iam trying through reference for core company..

There are many courses related to your department.so only i said you have chance

Industrial experience is compulsory for the sponsored candidates and some courses that need industrial experience.
you dont need to worry. Simply leave that column.

Only two rank list will be published.
one is common rank list.
Another one is community rank list.
Accet is govt college, semester fees in accet is same as GCT.
SSN is private, They may collect above 45000 per semester.

Only two rank list will be published. one is common rank list.

Semester fees in govt colleges will be around 5000.
in govt aided colleges Semester fees will be around 20000.
in the book info about colleges for ceg campus they given oly available and not available.........how many seats are for gate and non gate category
In the information booklet,the fees of CEG and govt. colleges is given as Rs.11,160/sem for aided programs & Rs. 22,110 for self supporting programmes.

GCT, Actech karaikudi, GCE salem,Gce tirunelveli are govt colleges.
Actech,gce(salem,tirunelveli) tution fees-Rs 2000 per semester.

We dont know about the seat allocation for gate and tancet category in ceg campus. Last year it is 2 to 5 seats for gate category.

1)pay your counseling fees(Rs 5000 or 1000) in counter

Fees 5300+5300. if you didn't get seat in gate/tancet category they will refund you 5000. 300 is counseling charges.

One week time is not enough between the result and the counseling. Anna university must consider the students who are in remote area or in Other states.
You can get the duplicate one from Anna university. This is previous years procedure. But who knows, they may change the procedure. So its better to contact anna university.
Heavy competition in CSE/IT/ECE branches.you will come under OC. So your rivals are more. So you have only little possibilities to get MIT. You can get top colleges in chennai(SSN,rmk). If you are concentrating only on govt colleges then you can get TCE madurai,GCT.

I would like to study in Chennai. So,the 1st private college is SSN.Fees of SSN is Around 1 lakh an year...
And I found that in Chennai colleges, Sri Sai Ram is the only college with less fees....
Is Sri Sairam @ chennai a good college?

SSN fees comes around 2 lakhs per year.
Sairam fees comes around 1.25 lakhs per year.
Sairam is also a good college. But its not good to take sairam, when you have a chance to get into SSN.
SSN is good in research, they are having R&D collaboration with foreign universities and companies. So they can guide you well.
Choose wisely.

CIT fees also comes around 2 lakhs per year.
If you really concerned about the college fees, then don’t take private colleges. Private colleges in Tamil Nadu never gives their original fees in the booklet.
50k per year! Govt colleges is the only choice for you.
I will give you the order of preference in govt/aided colleges.
GCT Coimbatore,
TCE Madurai.
GCE Salem.
A.C. college karaikudi.
GCE tirunelveli.
BITS campus tiruchi.
Anna univ Coimbatore.
Its tough to get GCT and TCE with your score.

1)Courses & colleges information available in the booklet itself. So dont feel lazy to refer that.
2)If those colleges surrendered their seats to the tanca,it will updated on the counseling date.

Well, there is a chance for missing courses in the booklet if the courses are newly added. You can get the updated college/course details before the counseling day via online.

Its tough to get CEG/MIT with your score. Unfortunately colleges next to CEG/MIT doesn't offering much seats to the tancet candidates.
You have chance for getting seat in SSN,venkadeshwara,GCE salem,AU cbe.

1)They can't take seats in other categories. But all students can take OC category seats.
Take Eg, A person belongs to BCM(or BC,SC,SCA,ST). Then he can take seats that are reserved for their category + OC Seats.
2)Private colleges never give their original fees to the information booklet or to any other. You need atleast 1 lakhs(per annum)to study in chennai colleges.
3)Your list is correct.

Hi sir, I'm Priya. My GATE mark is 34.33 in CS stream under OBC category. My all india rank is 15572 out of 156780. My gate score is 348. My percentile is 90. Through this mark alone can i get cit, gct, psg? or which colleges i can get? In counselling application we can mention both Tancet and GATE ?

you have good chance for getting seat in PSG, GCT.
for counseling you need to apply separately. one application for GATE category, another for NON GATE (tancet) category.

hello...Am divya...i just want few guidance regarding TANCET counselling....i have got 43.117(BC) cse dept....i am aiming for Tyagaraja col....what r the chances for me to get into it....what can i have as my other options???this time GCT,CIT,PSG have made all seats for GATE only....so am totally upset with this....want some suggestions from u....I also have a gate score(28.33)...but the valid score is 28.39 (missed it by 0.06 marks) ...though i got the score card they say unqualified gate score is of no use...So plzzzzz give ur suggestions....wat am i to do....guide me sir.
